The Power of The Holy Spirit

One of the accounts that I follow on youtube is called I'll be honest, and he really downloads some good stuff on there. I have really learned a lot from his videos, and the information that they display. Today he posted a video from Paul Washer called "The Power of the Holy Spirit is Essential" by Paul Washer, and it is good. One thing I can testify of is that all of our works and ideas are in vain if God is not with us.  We cannot create anything without His blessing.

We are going through the book of Ephesians in my church, and our pastor has been doing an excellent job in expositing the Scriptures faithfully. Ephesians 3:9, and My Analysis of The Debate Between Dr. Jeff Riddle and Dr. James White

I had the opportunity to watch the 2 hour debate between Jeff Riddle and James White on the text of Ephesians 3:9. Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to watch the one on the ending of Mark, but I hope to do so sometime in the future. Time is a commodity that is hard to come by these days.  After watching the debate between these two brothers who oppose each other over which is the best Biblical Text to support in Ephesians 3:9, I had to think long and hard on the issue, because both of these men brought up some important points. I personally think that James White is the better debater of the two, but he has definitely had more experience. Praise God for the Furnace - A look at a quote from Tozer

The other night I was listening to a message from the late Adrian Rogers. The message was about the life of Ruth and the providence of God in it. Pastor Rogers addressed the issue of suffering and quoted A.W. Tozer who was quoting a man named Rutherford who apparently had been through a great deal of suffering. I found the excerpt online and wanted to share it. It is an excellent picture of the placement of God, his children, and the unrighteous judges of the land. The part God's sovereignty plays in the whole picture encompasses the entire message. My eyes were opened and my heart was comforted when I heard and read this. There is so much flakey "name-it-claim-it" stuff being preached and going on these days that never has been much help to me when facing the bitter realities of this world. I think that after reading the Bible and writings like this I can say that the bitterness of this world is to be expected, but there will come a day when we will be at total peace
