On May 4th I had the opportunity to work in a swampy area not far from the Arkansas and Louisiana border. Aside from the bugs, snakes, and an occasional gator, it truly is a beautiful sight. South Arkansas and North Louisiana have a beauty that is similar to other regions, but it also is unique in many ways. I see it as a cross between the terrain further north in the Ouachita National Forest and the Atchafalaya swamp in Southern Louisiana.
